Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Al Qodir is an institution located in Cangkringan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, with the characteristic of religious studies because it is based on Islamic boarding schools. MA Al Qodir combines and develops a general education curriculum with religion. The local content used is Javanese pegon and Tahfidz (memorization) subjects. The reason for the Javanese language being local content is because it is the main means of communication in the Special Region of Yogyakarta as well as to develop culture in the area. In addition, because the number of students mostly comes from Javanese ethnicity and is a mandatory local content program held in Yogyakarta. What is the process of managing the local content curriculum for Islamic boarding schools at Madrasah Aliyah Al Qodir? and What are the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Islamic boarding school's local content curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Al Qodir?. This research is located in Cangkringan Sleman Yogyakarta using qualitative research methods. The technique used is through direct observation at school, interviews with school principals, vice curricula, representatives of the Islamic boarding school curriculum, local content teachers, and students. While data analysis using Marguerite Lodico, namely: transcripts, coding, grouping, comparing, and contrasting. The data validation technique uses source and technique triangulation. The results of this study are divided into three things, namely: first, in terms of the management planning process for the local content of the pesantren curriculum, this is summarized in the KTSP 2021/2022 which contains the vision and mission of the madrasa, objectives, near and long term targets, development or learning strategies, structure curriculum content and teaching organizations. In addition, there are regular meetings between the pesantren and the madrasah. Second, in terms of the implementation of MA Al Qodir's local content curriculum management, based on the results of interview observations with teachers, principals, deputy heads, and heads of curriculum areas, as well as students, it can be concluded that the implementation was not quite smooth or appropriate. Because of the obstacles that are the source of the delay in the implementation and planning according to the expectations of the madrasa. In practice, each student is expected to have discipline and is expected to be able to finish reciting the Koran and study the book while at the Islamic boarding school and madrasah. Then the third, namely the evaluation of the results of implementing the management of the pesantren's local content curriculum, can be summed up in several ways, including evaluations for students, namely tests, written tests and practical tests, and evaluations which are carried out every one academic year. Based on the monitoring and evaluation carried out in a programmed manner, the problems with implementing the management of the implementation of the local content curriculum can be identified with the evaluation movement's weaknesses and strengths. This will make it easier to plan follow-up in the next school year. Meanwhile, there were also obstacles and support factors during the implementation of local content at MA Al Qodir, such as the lack of student learning motivation and the completeness of the teaching staff at the school.
