Abstract

Capacity building is an important element in empowerment. An empowerment can be successful if one of its elements, such as capacity building, can be implemented properly. This is supported by various series of activities contained in the capacity building elements, in which the series of activities are oriented towards developing the expertise or skills of empowered individuals. These expertise or skills include the ability to strengthen organizational foundations, the ability to develop products, the ability to expand business networks, and the ability to achieve the welfare of its members. Based on the importance of capacity building elements in empowerment, this element is important to study. Therefore, this study aims to describe the forms of capacity building activities and to describe the results of the implementation of capacity building in KWT Arimbi. This study uses a qualitative method that is descriptive, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis technique used in this study went through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that a series of capacity building programs at KWT Arimbi are intertwined with one another. The elements presented in each program are the key to success for capacity building activities in the future. Capacity building efforts at KWT Arimbi have experienced success. This success can be seen from the increase in the KWT Arimbi class from beginner class to advanced class at 2021, strengthening organizational functions and work, growing knowledge and skills of KWT Arimbi members, creating programs that have an impact on members and the surrounding community, creating various processed products, and increasing income for members through the efforts that are built
