Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the implementation of the home visit learning method during the Covid 19 pandemic at MI Walisongo Salakbrojo. This research is motivated by the Covid 19 pandemic which requires children to study at home or online which has an impact on some children becoming lazy to study and not diligent in doing assignments. Some children are less developed in the process of teaching and learning activities, therefore the application of the home visit learning method aims to change children to become more enthusiastic about learning and to be able to increase student motivation during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research was conducted in grade 3 MI Walisongo Salakbrojo, Pekalongan Regency from February 2021 to May 2021. The subjects studied were all grade 3 students, totaling 25 students, teachers and parents. The research is a qualitative research type of case study. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation methods, while the validity of the data was tested using triangulation techniques. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The things that need to be prepared for a home visit are first from the madrasa to ask permission from the kelurahan in Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regency, then divide the groups by choosing a house in the middle, not far away. from school and not close to school. Then determine the place or location of the home visit and also permit the local RT to conduct a home visit. After that, permission was also given to the parents of the students to be willing to provide a place for the implementation of home visits and prepare the planning of the Learning Process Plan (RPP); (2) At the implementation stage, home visits are carried out as in ordinary learning with opening lessons such as greetings, absences and reflections. Furthermore, the main point is to convey the material, it's just that the time is shortened to only 60 minutes because one day there are 3 groups of students who are in different places or locations. The last stage is an evaluation by giving assignments during a home visit and if there are remedial assignments through whatsap groups, and (3) Changes in children's learning motivation during home visits are shown by students who are enthusiastic and enthusiastic about participating in learning, students listen to the teacher when the learning material is explained, and when given an assignment, students are immediately enthusiastic about doing and asking if there is material that is not understood. Because during the home visit the group of students is small, so that during learning the teacher can still monitor and transfer the material properly and in a conducive manner. Students are enthusiastic about learning because they are too bored with online learning so that with face-to-face learning children are very enthusiastic to follow it.
