Abstract

Gross motor development in early childhood is an important development. In addition, child growth includes providing stimulation through a wide range of motion. The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused educators to carry out learning at home, so that children's space for movement is limited. Therefore, during the Covid-19 pandemic, a learning pattern was needed that could develop aspects of child development. The aim of the study was to comprehensively determine the pattern of gross motor learning development for early childhood during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Research informants consisted of school principals, class B home teachers and students consisting of 15 children. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The analysis technique uses the Miles Hubberman model with the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using data triangulation. The results of this study show that: First, during the normal situation of the learning program carried out by the school in developing gross motor skills at PPT Tunas Bangsa Surabaya as in general, namely conducting face-to-face learning frequencies three times a week using the BCCT (Beyond Center And Cicle Time) learning model, Second, the learning carried out by schools in developing gross motor during the Covid-19 pandemic is still running well, Because teachers provide interactive learning variations in order to still achieve learning development goals among learning activities through the distribution of tasks (activity paper sheets, learning procedure videos and learning media) and counseling on children's achievement in gross motor development through online groups (WhatsApp and Zoom applications) Drive True to each student's home by the teacher and provide healthy food every week and take learning results in a week
