Abstract

Self regulated learning is needed by every individual to be able to direct himself to achieve goals or targets in learning. Research on self-regulated learning continues to grow with a variety of different research subjects. Self-regulated learning is a process of how to set learning goals, students will manage themselves in learning, independently and actively by monitoring, managing, motivating themselves towards tasks and setting learning goals, and managing a conducive environment for learning with meta-cognitive and behavioral abilities good study. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. This study aims to analyze in depth the description and factors of self-regulated learning of dual role students with high GPA. The subjects in this study amounted to five people who were taken by purposive sampling and snowball sampling methods. Informants were interviewed with questions that referred to Zimmerman's theory regarding aspects of self-regulated learning. Data analysis in this study used data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). This study found a picture of self-regulated learning of dual role students with high GPA which were divided into two categories, namely students who study while working, and students who study and get married. The findings show that the self-regulated learning method for students with a dual role with a high GPA is to determine priorities in managing time, relying on memory abilities, setting behavior to achieve goals, telling stories to lighten the load, flexible study time, making yourself happy in simple ways, doing outside assignments. at home, carrying out activities without a written schedule, always enthusiastic about studying, good memory skills, thinking that lectures are entertainment, going to new places, studying at night, and God as a place to share all problems.
