Abstract

Difa City Tour and Transport Yogyakarta or Dfabike is known as an organisation that gives chances to the disabilities to be more creative and independent. Via this online transportation service, they are hoped to be able to improve their economic incomes. In this case, the communication style that used by the leader have significant role to motivate the members, so as to increase consistency in carrying out their activities. The main purpose of this research is to find out about the communication style of the Difabike's leader in motivating the members. This study uses qualitative method with data collection, interview and documentation techniques. Based on the result of the data presentation, it was found that the Difabike's leader uses four style of communications, namely Equalitarian Style, Controlling Style, Structuring Style and Dynamic Style. Of this four, the Equalitarian Style is the most effective, as it is intertwined in two directions. This style also capable of fostering empathy and cooperation because it tends to have a high sense of caring and is able to foster good relationship. Meanwhile, relinguishing style and withdrawal style are less effective when used on DIFABIKE. However, the DIFABIKE's leader cannot just let go off responsibility and ignore problems.
