Abstract

Islamic Boarding School is one of the educational institution which participate in running and actualizing the national education system based on religiosity. However, the education in Islamic Boarding School presents a variety of experiences that are more complex and it will affect the psychological well-being of students (santri). This study aims to determine the relationship between self-adjustment AND psychological well-being of the first year students in Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School, Jakarta. . The method used in this study is quantitative with 2 research scales, namely: adjustment scale and psychological well being scale. The populations in this study are Junior High School students of Manba’ul Ulum Asshiddiqiyah. This study used a purposive sampling technique in determining the sample, with a total of 113 students. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the Jamovi software. The results showed that the p value <0.001 means that there is a significant relationship between self adjustment and psychological well being with an effective contribution of 20,6%.
