Abstract

This study aims to a) find out the implementation of the use of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with infographics on the subject matter of the human reproductive system in class XI MIPA 2 SMA N 1 Banguntapan b) find out the cycles needed to increase motivation and student learning outcomes in the aspect of knowledge by implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with infographic media on the subject matter of the human reproductive system in class XI MIPA 2 SMA N 1 Banguntapan c) knowing increased motivation and student learning outcomes in the aspect of knowledge by implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with media infographic on the subject matter of the human reproductive system in class XI MIPA 2 SMA N 1 Banguntapan. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three learning cycles. The subjects of this study were 35 students of class XI MIPA 2. The data collected was in the form of student learning motivation which was obtained by means of questionnaires, student learning outcomes from the pretest-posttest, observation sheets of learning implementation, and documentation. Data were analyzed qualitatively with descriptive method and quantitatively with Cohen's Effect Size d. The results of the study show that the Project Based Learning learning model with infographic media can increase student motivation and learning outcomes. Student learning motivation can be seen through the percentage of questionnaire sheets for each cycle, namely cycle I of 72.3%; cycle II of 71, ; and cycle III of 72.6%. The increase in student learning outcomes can be seen from the average pretest and posttest, namely cycle I of 48.34 and 69.09; cycle II of 60 and 68.12; cycle III of 80.59 and 84.70 so that an effect size I of -0.09 (no effect) and an effect size II of 1.4 (large effect). Therefore it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning learning model with infographic media on the subject matter of the human reproductive system can increase student motivation and learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect of class XI at SMA N 1 Banguntapan in the 2022/2023 academic year.
