Abstract

Teachers are professional educators who play a role in the success of students in schools who can fulfill educational goals. Quarter life crisis is the phase of individuals entering their 20s. Individuals who are in this phase often experience various problems such as feeling anxious about the future, indecisive in making decisions, comparing self-achievement with others, feeling unsure of their own abilities, depressed because of demands from the surrounding environment, especially the work environment. This study aims to find out how teachers' attitudes and methods minimize quarter life crises in early adulthood, and to find out whether quarter life crises have an impact on teachers' teaching motivation at Kleco Muhammadiyah Elementary School. Formulation of the problem: 1) What is the attitude of SD Muhammadiyah Kleco teachers when experiencing a quarter life crisis during early adult development?; 2) What are the implications of the quarter life crisis for Kleco Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers? The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach focusing on teacher behavior in minimizing quarter life crises in early adulthood. The research subjects consisted of 5 female teachers at SD Muhammadiyah Kleco aged 25-40 years and were divided into two categories: married and unmarried individuals. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the teacher's attitude when experiencing a quarter life crisis was confusion with the additional assignments given, income that did not meet expectations, comparing self-achievement, a supportive work environment affecting the teacher's work, anxiety about relationships and friendships, feeling pressured by the many tasks work, and expectations from the family. The implications of the quarter life crisis for Kleco Muhammadiyah Elementary School teachers are by understanding themselves, learning to deal with various responses to given expectations, starting to recognize themselves, knowing their strengths and weaknesses, being careful in making decisions, and having a professional attitude
