Abstract

This research was motivated by a case of bullying that occurred at MAN 2 Palu City, the authors saw acts of violence committed by a number of students such as making fun of their friends, humiliating other people or insulting them, and so on. Another part of the bullying behavior was carried out by seniority towards juniors, by way of bullying or forcibly asking for some money, if the victim did not give some money, then the perpetrator would take acts of intimidation and threats, to commit acts of physical violence until the victim gave money. The formulation of the problem in this study is divided into two, the first is how the forms of bullying that occurred at MAN 2 Palu City, the second is how the implementation of religious counseling at MAN 2 Palu City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data sources in this study were student victims and perpetrators of bullying, as well as teachers who knew about the case. The results of this study indicate that there are acts of bullying experienced by students and there are types of religious counseling approaches applied by counseling teachers. The violence of bullying included physical and non-physical bullying, namely in the form of hitting, being stopped, and pushed by their classmates. Some others had experienced ridicule, intimidation, and threats against the victim. Religious counseling that is applied by the counseling teacher at MAN 2 Palu City consists of tazkirah guidance, dhikr and prayer, as well as preventive guidance.
