Abstract

It is believed that Islam entered Indonesia in the 13th century. In its dissemination efforts, the Qur'an became one of the media used in the spread of Islamic religion. Mushaf Al-Qur'an is copied and multiplied in order to support the spread of Islam. It is in the Qur'an that the teachings of Islam are a guidance for the Muslims. Based on the results of the search of the Religious Lectures of the Department of Religious Affairs of RI through its team found 241 ancient mushaf manuscripts from 18 regions in Indonesia over a period of three years (2003-2005). In addition to these manuscripts, there must be many more manuscriptions of the Qur'an that are personal collections that have not been studied by the ancient manuscript scholars, one of them is the Manuscript Mushaf Al-Qur'an Dusun Bejen Bantul Yogyakarta. Every manuscript of the Qur'an has its own characteristics. Then the author wants to reveal how the characteristics of the Manuscript Mushaf Al-Qur'an Dusun Bejen. This research is included in qualitative research based on library research and field research, using descriptive analysis techniques. The author conducted research into Dusun Bejen's Mushaf Al-Qur'an Manuscript by analyzing it using a philological approach of the single manuscript critical text edition method. Through this approach it is known that the Mushaf Al-Qur’an Manuscript of Dusun Bejen has several characteristics, among them: the paper used in this manuscript is a European paper with watermark and is also equipped with a countermark in the form of VDL. Furthermore, this manuscript was written using the rasm 'us\ma>ni and sometimes also using the rasm 'imla'i, this shows its inconsistency in its official use. The reading marks in this manuscript are also incomplete as in the general mushaf of the Qur'an today. In this manuscript do not use long reading marks and single sentence marks. There is also a small difference between this manuscript and the other manuscripts of the Qur'an, It is the two parts of the Qur'an which are used by the recitals. Then the writing of the al-Fa>tih}ah is done at the beginning and end of the manuscript. It is also rare to be found in other mushaf manuscripts of the Qur'an. The writer finds the similarity of writing like this only in the manuscript mushaf Al-Qur'an KH. Sholeh in Drajat Lamongan. In the study it is mentioned that such writing has a profound meaning, because in the letter al-Fa>tih}ah it itself symbolizes a form of enslavement of creatures to their creator.
