Abstract

The increasing spread of the Covid-19 virus has caused several corporate sectors to experience setbacks in their operations. The financial distress approach should be designed as a proactive warning method. This initiative aims to predict situations that may lead to corporate bankruptcy. The purpose of this study is to test the accuracy of the anticipation of financial difficulties in Islamic Commercial Banks during the Covid-19 epidemic. The financial distress prediction methods used here are Zmijewski and Grover. The population of this study is all Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) between 2019 and 2021. To get 12 Islamic Commercial Banks, purposive sampling was used. The total number of observations is 144. The secondary data used is secondary data obtained from the official websites of Islamic Commercial Banks and OJK. The results showed that there were differences in the Zmijewski and Grover methods in predicting financial distress in Indonesian Islamic Commercial Banks during the co-19 pandemic. Besides that, the results of the prediction of the level of accuracy carried out, show that the Grover method is more accurate than the Zmijewski method.
