Abstract

Covid-19 is an event where a virus that claims many lives. Because of the danger level of the virus, the whole world implements a policy of karatina (social distancing), wearing masks and washing hands as a prevention of being exposed to the virus. The policy runs for 2 years from 2019 to 2022 which changes learning habits. After the release of the policy and starting to apply the learning system as usual, many students feel anxiety about interacting socially in the campus environment because they are still afraid of contracting the virus. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and post-covid-19 social interaction anxiety in UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta students. The type of research used is a quantitative approach. The research subjects received a total of 306 subjects who were students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga who were affected by the covid-19 policy while still active students with the following conditions, a) active undergraduate students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, b) have done online learning during the covid-19 pandemic, c) students from the class of 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, d) willing to become research respondents. The instrument in this study used a resilience scale with a total of 21 items and a social interaction anxiety scale with a total of 20 items. Data analysis was carried out using the non-parametric spearmen correlation hypothesis test with the help of the IBM SPSS 22 for Windows application. Based on the above test, the correlation coefficient is obtained with a value of -0.335 with a 2 tailed sig significance showing 0.000 p <0.05, which means that there is a significant negative relationship with a fairly strong relationship level. With the conclusion that the higher the resilience value, the lower the social interaction anxiety value. Vice versa, the lower the resilience value, the higher the social interaction anxiety value. In addition to resilience, there are also other factors that can affect social anxiety / social interaction anxiety, one of which is self-efficacy, self-concept and self-confidence.
