Abstract

The emotions possessed by humans, especially in the context of negative emotions such as anger, have a significant impact on their behavior. Lack of management of negative emotions is often associated with various risky actions and harmful behaviors, such as violence, abuse, and increased interpersonal conflicts. Therefore, managing anger becomes a key aspect in maintaining individual well-being and healthy social interactions. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review method with the Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) approach to explore research on anger management in individuals' lives. The analysis of articles from various countries reveals that anger as part of negative emotions has serious consequences when left unmanaged, creating risks of harmful actions such as violence and abuse. The main findings indicate various effective techniques and educational programs in reducing anger across diverse groups. Managing angry emotions also affects controlled emotional responses, improved problem-solving skills, healthy interpersonal relationships, as well as better mental and physical well-being. Highlighting the significance of managing angry emotions, this research underscores that the ability to control negative emotions plays a key role in addressing daily challenges and maintaining individual well-being when interacting with the surrounding environment wisely. However, within the current literature, research on managing angry emotions based on Islamic principles remains limited. Although some studies cover this topic, there is still significant room for further and deeper research on the application of Islamic principles in controlling anger.
