Abstract

A harmonious family is an ideal condition obtained when each member of the family performs his role and functions well. According to the theory of structural functionalism, families are harmonious if there is a division of roles and functions within the family. One of the factors inhibiting family harmony is the economic factor. The phenomenon that took place in the village of Sumurgeneng and attracted much public attention was the evacuation of land for the renovation of the oil plant project. Instead, the society is being paid compensation and compensation which is so valuable that today many farmers are becoming "new rich people". Thus, whether damages can add to family harmony or, on the contrary, raise new problems within the family, as well as how much the influence of land evictions on family harmoniousness according to the theory of structural functionalism. This research is a type of field research that is descriptive-analytical. As far as the approach is concerned is the sociology of law. The data collection techniques used are observations, interviews, and documentation. As for sampling techniques using purposive samplings with criteria: farmers affected by land evictions, experiencing economic growth as “new rich people”, and experiencing conflict due to compensation payments. The focus of his research is farmers' families affected by the evacuation of land in the village of Sumurgeneng. The theory used is the theory of structural functionalism as a knife analysis. . The results of this study show that (1) the expulsion of land has a positive and negative impact on family harmony, i.e. an increase in the economy that can be used to meet the needs of the family but society is beginning to live consumerism, family social relations become harmonious but the social relationships are shrinking, there is a motivation of parents to advance the education of their children although not all. So the degree of harmony of the family of farmers can be categorized into three levels: Sakinah Family I, Sakinahu Family II, and Sakinaha Family III. (2) The average farmers' family has not fully performed family functions well, as evidenced by the presence of family dysfunction among them the economic disfunction of consumer life, the social dysfunctions of family and society relationships become stagnant, as well as the educational disfunctions that not all parents have the desire to advance the education of their children, so that the majority of the farmers have not been able to adapt to change..
