Abstract

This research is purposed to know and understand about the the spiritual dynamics of pension that was focused on their profile, factors which have influenced the spiritual of pension, and how the dynamics of spirituality appears in pension self. This qualitative research was done with the depth interview, observation, and documentation study as a technique for getting data. The documentation used photos, decree letters, results of medical records, and others. Informants of this research are two pensioners who are domiciling in Yogyakarta. The result of this research is both of the pension have very different profile although they are the same pension of civil servants, their differences both in terms of educational background, family, career, health, and their activities after retirement. The spiritual of pension has been influenced by the some factors, such as career, medical history, family relationship, and the social relationship. While the spiritual of pension can be seen from their view on the life experience, the meaning of pension life, and the hope. Keywords: spiritual, pension
