Abstract

This study is based on three problems. First is the availability of the collection in each block in the learning system PBL in 2007 at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Gadjah Mada University. Second, is to find out the availability of the whole collection. Third, is to find out the block which its collection is the most available at the library. The study is a descriptive qualitative in precentage. Based on the research of collection’s availability at the Library of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Gadjah Mada University, in block 1 a small part of the collection available (9,5%), Block 2 almost a half available (48,5%), Block 3 generally available (88,9%), Block 4 generally available (90%), Block 5 generally available (81%), Block 6 generally available (80%), Block 7 a half available (50%), Block 8 a small part available (15,4%), Block 9 generally available (80%), Block 10 mostly available (58%) Block 11 mostly available (69%), Block 12 almost a half available (45,5%), block 13 no reference list, Block 14 a small part available (22,2%), Block 15 generally available (81,8%), Block 16 mostly available (55,6%), Block 17 almost a half available (33,33%), Block 18 generally available (84,61%), Block 19 generally available (85,7%), Block 20 a half are available (50%), Block 21 no one available is available (0%), Block 22 a small part available (23,5%), Block 23 mostly available (66,7%) and for Block 24 a small part available (21,05%). Afterwards, out of the 24 Blocks, there are no single collection which the availability reaches the entirety (100%) and there is one block that does not enter the reference list, it is block 13. Overall, the collection list on the block book mostly is available at the library (58,17%). While the rest (41,83%) are not available. The block with the most available collection at the Library of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is block 4. It reaches 90% of availability. In order to enhance the role of library, it is needed to increase its collection both in term of its title and amount in accordance with the reference list in the block book.
