Abstract

The role of the agricultural sector is essential to the fulfillment of food production. Agricultural data which are still in paper form be one of the obstacles to increase agricultural production. The purpose of this research is to create a prototype of a system of mapping information in order to present data on agriculture in the form of maps or digital. System development method used in the manufacture of this system is a model prototyping. This method emphasizes on finding the appropriate model for the system to be developed. This mapping information system developed with the fundamentals contained in geographic information systems. The basis of the mapping includes a point (point), line (line), area (polygon). Overall these elements represent a part of the mapping Prototyping mapping information system built using the PHP programming language and web-based using a MySQL database that is connected via a web service. For digitized mapping applications use Quantum GIS to map the region in accordance with the data. Online services on the map using the help of google fusion tables. The study produced three different prototypes. Overall prototype has a different level of success. Prototype successfully applied to the system is a prototype 3 to the highest degree of satisfaction. Prototype 3 can to display, search, and perform printing (print) of agricultural data in the database.
