Abstract

This research is entitled the Influence Of Librarianship Functional Position Subsidy On The Performance Of Librarians In Public Library Of Y ogyakarta. If the librarianship subsidy is significantly as a valuable thing by the librarians, they should motivated to improve their performance. In contrast, if such subsidy is not considered as an important they may not be having motivation to have a good performance. Considering the importance of this functional position subsidy effects in improving the librarian performance, thus the government needs to give this librarian performance subsidiary as appropriate as the minimum needs of the librarians. This researc aim to find out the relationship and the influence between the librraianship functional position subsidy and the performance of librarians in the Public Library Board F Yogyakarta. To achieve this aim, the research uses methods to collect data to be used questionnaire, interview, and observation as primary sources. Besides, literature studies and reports issued by the Library Board of Yogyakarta are also. employed as secondary sources. The research is carried out by using a qualitative method that quantitative method for easy calculation with assosiative causal (a symmetrical two variable). In addition, the formula used in this research is the correlation coefficient to count the relationship berween the librarianship functional position subsidy and their performance and the determination coefficient to measure influence of both variables. Based on the issues, it is concluded that there is a significant relation between the librarianship functional position subsidy and their performance in the Public Library Board o Y ogyakarat. The result of the research shows correlaion coefficient is by 0,719., with is significance numbering at {0,001) < (a12). Besides, the determination coefficient is by 0,517. this means that there is a significant influence between them. Thus, the hypothesis of Ha that tell the influence between The librarianship functional position subsidy and the performance of librarians in the Public Library Board of Yogyakarta is accepted. While that of Ho that tell the not influence between them. Thus, the hypothesis of Ha that tell the influence between The librarianship functional position subsidy and the performance of librarians in the Public Library Board of Y ogyakarta is refused.
