Abstract
This research is aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using the collections at the library of Chemistry Education Department of Yogyakarta State University. The research uses a survey-descriptive method with the subjects consisting of the users at the library and the object is the effectiveness of using the collections. By using sampling technique of stratified proportional random sampling, the research uses 89 respondents consisting of students from 2003 to 2006. The result of the research shows that the collections of the library (56,70%) is effectively used by the library users.
