Abstract

Purposes of this research are 1) Developing android mobile learning application as learning media for students of SMP/MTs on seventh grade, 2) Knowing application trials of mobile learning for lerning media. This research is kind of research used procedural model adaptating development research procedure according to Puslitjaknov Team with five steps: 1) Analyze the product to be developed, 2) Develop the initial product, 3) validation of the expert and revision, 4) Small scale field trials and revision, 5) Large scale trials and final product. The research instrument is quality appraisal sheet of android mobile learning application for material expert, media expert, and SMP/MTs sains teacher by using Likert scale that is made in checklist. Instrument for students is student response sheet by using Guttman scale that is made in checklist too. Appraisal result data is analyzed to be average score then it’s compared with classification table of qualitative criteria on product appraisal and students response. The Instrument of application trials is observation sheet for observer. The result is: 1) Was developed an android mobile learning application as learning media for students of SMP/MTs on seventh grade, 2) The quality of android mobile learning application according to appraisal of material expert, media expert, and SMP/MTs sains teacher overall has Very Good quality with ideal percentage 86,57%, 90,83%, and 92,45%. Students response toward android mobile learning application on small scale field test and large scale field test is Agree with ideal percentage for each 90,00% and 96,67%, and result of application trials is Very Good with ideal percentage 90,97%. The result shows that the developed android mobile learning application can be used as one of learning media for students of SMP/MTs on seventh grade.
