Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) To develop an enrichment bilingual science book with theme Hybrid Energy System for 7th grade students of Junior High School; 2) To know the quality of an enrichment bilingual science book with theme Hybrid Energy System for 7th grade students of Junior High School; 3) To know the students' responses against the enrichment bilingual science book with theme Hybrid Energy System for 7th grade students of Junior High School This research is a R&D research with 3-D model that adobts 4-D development research procedure according to Thiagarajan Sammel and Sammel which consists of three main steps, those are (1) define, (2) design, and (3) develop. This research is conducted at SMPN 1 Pleret and the subject for this research are 6 students of class eight in limited test, and 25 students of class eight for extensive test. The data collection instruments can be done by giving some critical and suggestion sheets to validator, assessment sheets and student’s response sheet. The instrument’s form is using Likert Scale for assessment and Gutman Scale for response sheet, and for data analysis technique is using qualitative describe technique. The result of this research are (1) an enrichment bilingual science book with theme Hybrid Energy System for 7th grade students of Junior High School (2) the quality of this bilingual science book is based on an assessment from the expert of science, media specialist, linguist and teachers that are in good category which have the respectively scores 3,21, 2,73, 3,20 and 3,12. While the students’ responses from SMPN 1 Pleret against the enrichment book developing have agreed category whether on limited test and extensive test.
