Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Understand about bibliocrime at the Library of IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta; (2) Understand about library service quality at the Library of IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta; (3) Understand about influence the bibliocrime on the library service quality at the Library of IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta. The kind of this research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this research are all members of IST AKPRIND Library until February 2016, with the total number 3491 users. The sampling technique using accidental sampling technique, with the sample are 97 respondent. The main data collection techniques were questionnaires using Likert scale with four alternative answers. Meanwhile the supporting data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Testing the validity using product moment correlation. Meanwhile testing the reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha. Data analysis using mean and grand mean, Product Moment Correlation and Simple Linear Regression. The data is processed using program of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22. The results of this research showed that the bibliocrime at the Library of IST AKPRIND classified low, it is evident from the calculation of the grand mean of 1,82. Meanwhile the library service quality at the Library of IST AKPRIND is also classified good, it is evident from the calculation of the grand mean of 3,00. The influence of the bibliocrime on library sevice quality at the Library of IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta is not significant. The level of correlation is said not significant with a value of 0,075. The direction of correlation is negative and correlation level is very weak with the interval correlation coefficient between 0,00 – 0,199. Result of simple linier regression is Y = 47,760 + (-0,066X) and R Square of 0,006. The author suggested the library staff to increases the library security.
