Abstract

The development of Islamic banking has increased. This can be seen with a comparative scale between 2009 wherein the amount of total assets of 66 trillion rupiah in 2015 and total assets of 227 trillion rupiah. with the development of Islamic banking it is necessary to know the structure of the market can then be analyzed to compete for optimal develop Islamic banking. This study aims to identify the structure of the Islamic banking market in Indonesia with non-structural approach is the method of Panzer and Rosse. Then, after the discovery of the structure of the market analysis of competitive strategy on Islamic Banks who have most assets 1 and 2 by using Game Theory to seek balanced strategy (Equlibrium) between the two banks. In this study using quantitative analysis descriptive to make clear the structure of the market by calculating H-stat generated and competitive strategy that is balanced between the two banks has top assets 1 and 2 are in the study of Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank Muamalat by using a combination of strategies in the matrix pay off based on the structure of the market. Results from this study showed that the structure of the Islamic banking market in Indonesia is in equilibrium with monopolistic competition. Then Based on the results pay off matrix that shows the competition of Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank Muamalat using a mixed strategy due to not finding a saddle point in pure strategies. So generally the ratio of income, ratio of profit sharing on savings, personnel expense ratio and other expense ratio is the optimal strategy to compete for Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank Muamalat Indonesia.
