Abstract
This research aims to find out or explores parenting parents in the process of toilet training. This research used the qualitative method with approach case studies. A case study is a research strategy that carefully examines a program, event, activity, process or a group of individuals. Data collection using the method of interview and observation. The results showed that that the process of toilet training in children include several stages. The process of toilet training starts from keeping and caring for baby hygiene, recognize the sign the child will defecation/urinate, introduce and teach how to toilet etiquette/to get used and disciplining the child use the toilet whenever defecation/urinate. Some of the factors that affect the process of toilet training include the availability of good facilities and infrastructure is good, safe and comfortable, education level and knowledge of mothers about toilet training, toilet teaching used in training, place, and type of toilet readiness as well as emotion, status, and age of the child. Caregiving parents have the influence in the process of toilet training, learning where nurseries which are full of affection, appreciation, attention and closeness without any excessive demands, discipline and living model of walking in a balanced way will make it easier for parents in teaching toilet training in children. And, make it easy for children to receive training toilet learning with fun. Keywords : toilet training, process, factors that affect the process of toilet training, and parenting [INDONESIA] Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui atau mengeksplorasi pengasuhan orang tua dalam proses toilet training. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Studi kasus adalah strategi penelitian yang mengkaji secara cermat suatu program, peristiwa, aktivitas, proses atau sekelompok individu. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa proses toilet training pada anak meliputi beberapa tahapan. Proses toilet training dimulai dari menjaga dan merawat kebersihan bayi, mengenali tanda anak akan BAB/BAK, mengenalkan dan mengajarkan cara/adab ke toilet hingga membiasakan dan mendisiplinkan anak menggunakan toilet setiap kali BAB/BAK.Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi proses toilet training diantaranya ketersediaan fasilitas baik sarana dan prasarana yang baik, aman dan nyaman, tingkat pendidikan dan pengetahuan ibu mengenai toilet training, cara yang digunakan dalam mengajarkan toilet training, tempat, dan jenis toilet serta kesiapan emosi, status, dan usia anak. Pengasuhan orang tua memiliki pengaruh dalam proses pembelajaran toilet training, dimana pengasuhan yang penuh kasih sayang, penghargaan, perhatian dan kedekatan tanpa adanya tuntutan yang berlebihan, kedisiplinan dan contoh hidup berjalan secara seimbang akan memudahkan orang tua dalam mengajarkan toilet training pada anak. Serta, memudahkan anak untuk menerima pembelajaran toilet training dengan menyenangkan. Kata kunci : proses toilet training, , faktor yang mempengaruhi proses toilet training, dan pengasuhan
