Abstract

This research aims to 1) Produce props geometrical optics and Braille guidebooks props geometrical optics as a medium of instruction, 2) Know the quality of the props geometrical optics and guidebook props geometrical optics Braille as a medium of instruction, 3) Know the student response and genesis against props geometrical optics and guidebooks props geometrical optics Braille. This research is R & D with procedural models which adapt the development of 4-D model devices namely Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate. Reseach is limited to the stage developmental testing on main field testing. Data collection techniques are non test in the form of an interview, the now, and observations with instruments in the form of sheets, sheet now, interview and observation sheets. Technique of data analysis performed with analisa deskripstif to convert the quantitative data be qualitative. The result of this development research is 1) Has produced props geometrical optics and guidebooks props geometrical optics Braille for blind learners in MTsLB/A Yaketunis, 2) Quality props geometrical optics developed included in the category of very good based on the assessment of media experts and teachers with an average score of each 3.67 and 327. While the quality of the props geometrical optics terasuk material according to the category either by an average score of appraisers of 3.07. Quality guide book props braille developed included in the category of very good based on expert assessment of the media with an average score of 3.63. While the quality of the manual use of braille according to material and teachers are included in the category either by an average score of respectively 2, 97 and 3.00 3) Preliminary field test on student response shows that the average student is agree with the products developed with average score 1,00, but main field testing, students can use independently and be able to understand the concept the formation of shadows by special rays by mirrors and lenses with use props geometrical optics and guidebook props Braille.
