Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the issuance of Islamic bonds (sukuk) on financial performance (ROA, ROE, FDR and BOPO) of Bank Syariah Mandiri. The sample used in this study is 48 quarterly Bank Syariah Mandiri financial statements from 2003-2014. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample method. In conducting data processing, this study uses the program Eviews 9. This study uses simple regression analysis. The results showed that sukuk issuance had a significant effect on ROE, FDR and BOPO. This can be shown based on the t test on each variable, namely the ROE variable with a significance value of 0.0000 <α (0.05), the FDR variable with a significance value of 0.0036 <α (0.05), and BOPO with a significance value of 0.0272 <α (0.05). And sukuk issuance does not have a significant effect on ROA with a significance value of 0.8341> α (0.05).
