Abstract

This research is a quantitative research to analyze the efficiency comparison of Conventional Rular Banks (BPR) with Sharia People Financing Banks (BPRS) in Surakarta using the Analisys (DEA) Data Envelopment method. The source of the data used comes from the financial statements of the Financial Service Authority (OJK) to take reserach input and output variables. Research input variables are total assets, third party funds (TPF), and operating expenses. With the output variables namely total credit, and operating income. This study uses the parametric difference test Independent Sample T-Test. Sampling is purposive sampling, that is with special criteria for research variables. Thus, the research sample is 10 BPR and 4 BPRS in Surakarta. The research results show that there are 3 BPRs and 2 BPRS that experience optimal efficiency or value, with 7 BPRs and 2 BPRS that are still experiencing inefficiencies. But seen from the development of its performance, both of them showed good performance in improving their operational performance. The results of the research with different tests show that there is no significant difference between the efficiency of BPR and BPRS during the period December 2016-September 2018.
