Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out historical representation of the Alexandrian Library in the novel Libri di Luca. This research is kualitatif research and he focus of study is history of the Alexandria Library. The type of this research is library research. The Method of data Collection include reading, taking note, and text analyzing. Main data source of the research is novel entitled “Libri di Luca” by Mikkel Birkegaard issued by PT. Serambi Ilmu Semesta in 2010. Supplementary data source of the research are book or collections that have relevance with the research. Analytical method used by the author is content analysis with a semiology Roland Barthes approach. The result of the study are, that the novel Libri di Luca is represent Alexandria Library histories into three phases namely, 1) the early history of the establishment of the Alexandrian Library; 2) history of destruction of the Alexandria Library; 3)history of the revival of the Alexandrian Library. The historical representation of the Alexandrian Library in the novel Libri di Luca too strengthened by exixtence historical representation of the Alexandrian Library into fictional elements contained in the novel Libri di Luca, namely; plot, character, and settings (place and time). ( INDONESIA ) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan sejarah Perpustakaan Alexandria dalam novel Libri di Luca. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan fokus kajiannya dalah sejarah Perpustakaan Alexandria. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library resarch). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membaca, mencatat dan menganalisis teks. Sumber data utama dari penelitian ini adalah teks dalam sebuah novel yang berjudul “Libri di Luca” karya Mikkel Birkegaard yang diterbitkan oleh PT Serambi Ilmu Semesta pada tahun 2010. Sumber data pelengkap dari penelitian ini adalah buku atau koleksi yang mempunyai keterkaitan dengan penelitian. Metode analisis yang digunakan penulis adalah analisis isi dengan pendekatan semiologi Roland Barthes. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah, bahwa novel Libri di Luca merepresentasikan sejarah Perpustakaan Alexandria ke dalam tiga fase yaitu, 1) sejarah awal mula berdirinya Perpustakaan Alexandria; 2) sejarah Kehancuran Perpustakaan Alexandria; 3) sejarah kebangkitan Perpustakaan Alexandria. Representasi sejarah Perpustakaan Alexandria dalam Novel Libri di Luca ini juga dikuatkan dengan adanya representasi sejarah Perpustakaan Alexandria ke dalam elemen-elemen fiksi yang terkandung dalam Novel Libri di Luca, yakni; alur atau plot, tokoh atau penokohan, dan Latar atau setting (tempat dan waktu).
