Abstract

This study aims to determine students 'perceptions of the implementation of the school literacy movement in SMA Negeri 2 Bantul, students' perceptions of the use of fiction books in the library of SMA Negeri 2 Bantul, the influence of the school literacy movement on the use of fiction books in the library of SMA Negeri 2 Bantul, and the magnitude of the influence of the movement. school literacy on the use of fiction books in the library of SMA Negeri 2 Bantul. This type of research is descriptive quantitative and associative research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI class 2019/2020. While the object of this research is the school literacy movement. The population in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Bantul in the academic year 2019/2020 totaling 264 students. The sample was taken by using purposive sample technique. The sample size is determined using a precision of 10% and a confidence level of 90% so that based on the Yamane formula the sample size is 73 students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire method, unstructured interviews, and documentation. Validity testing uses product moment correlation, and reliability testing uses alpha cronbach. Data analysis includes descriptive data analysis, calculating the mean and grand mean. Hypothesis determination uses product moment correlation and simple linear regression analysis. The amount of influence using the coefficient of determination. The results showed: first, students' perceptions of the implementation of the school literacy movement in SMA Negeri 2 Bantul were well implemented with a grand mean value of 3.07. Second, students' perceptions of the use of fiction books in the Library of SMA Negeri 2 Bantul were put to good use with a grand mean value of 2.54. Third, the school literacy movement at SMA Negeri 2 Bantul has a significant effect on the use of fiction books.
