Abstract

A large number of English course enthusiasts in Kampung Inggris from various elements of Indonesia and the role of information technology in daily life, making conventional ways or go directly to the place of institutions to obtain information is no longer relevant. Nowadays, enthusiasts are looking for course program information at each course institution using the internet considering this method is more effective and efficient. However, this method also considered ineffective to find courses that are supporting the preferences of the user. Therefore we need a system that not only provides information but is also able to recommend English courses according to the parameters the user wants. This study aimed to recommend an English language course program in Kampung Inggris Pare, Kediri. This recommendation system uses the Fuzzy database model Tahani. This method allows the handling of data naturally by following the human mind. The parameters used consisted of four, including the costs, facilities, duration, and popularity of the course institutions. The results of the course recommendations based on the value of the membership degree, then ranking the five highest grades. The results of case trials that have been carried out with manual calculations and calculations from the system give the same results. Overall, the system built can provide English course program recommendations to users.
