Abstract

An islamic boarding school’s pride is to provide students who is not only excellent in islamic studies but also excellent morally, speaks veraciously, able to appreciate human rights and spirituals and also able to live modestly. To attain those things, an islamic boarding school has managed regulation to organize the students, such as establishing rules to obey by the students. This shows that obedience is vital to reach the goal. This research aims to know if there is a relationship between student’s self-control and obedience towards the regulations of their boarding school. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The population aimed in this research is students from A-Furqon Boarding School Lampung. The number of sample obtained in this research is 110 students. The sampling technique in this research is the accidental sampling. This research is using a obediance scale and self-control scale to obtain the data. Data analysis methode using in this research is Pearson Product Moment correlation with the results of coefficient correlation of 0,710 with the significancy of 0,000 (p<0,05) and effective contribution between self-control with obedience of 0,503 (50,3%). Thus the hypothesis that states “there is a positive relationship between self-control with obedience to students of the regulations” is accepted. The higher the level of self-control, the higher the level of obedience to students towards the regulations in Al-Furqon Boarding School Lampung.
