Abstract

This study aims to determine the tendency of bullying behavior when viewed from the school climate in question. This research was conducted and compared at public high schools and private high schools in Yogyakarta with a sample of 363 students. This research is a quantitative type with the sampling technique using cluster random sampling. The scale used the bullying scale with an alpha coefficient of 0.961 and the school climate scale with an alpha coefficient of 0.911. The analysis technique used simple regression and independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between the tendency of bullying behavior and school climate with a value of 0.257 (P> 0.05). This means that the better the school climate level, the lower the tendency of bullying behavior, and vice versa. The results of the comparison show that there is no difference in the level of the tendency of bullying in public schools and private schools
