Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of career development and work environment on employee performance of Bank BPD DIY Syariah through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Career development is one of the rights that must be fulfilled by companies to employees for the development of employee career life. Which will have an effect on employee performance. Another component that is no less important is the work environment and job satisfaction felt by employees, where job satisfaction will be a mediating variable on employee performance as the dependent variable. The population in this study were 36 employees of Bank BPD DIY Syariah. Data collection methods used were questionnaires and multiple linear regression data analysis tools IBM SPSS 23, path analysis and sobel test to determine the effect of mediation. The test results show that career development variables have an effect on job satisfaction but have no effect on performance, work environment variables have no effect on job satisfaction but have an effect on performance, job satisfaction variables have an effect on performance and job satisfaction variables are able to mediate the effect of career development and work environment on performance employees at Bank BPD DIY Syariah.
