Abstract

Increasingly competitive business competition makes a company required to increase its productivity. One of the things that becomes an indicator of productivity is the achievement of production targets. It is known that the electric batik stove company in April - July 2020 experienced production results are still below the target. This is the reason companies need to increase productivity. To increase productivity, companies can take productivity measurements to evaluate the use of resources in the production process. The purpose of this study was to measure productivity using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method. The hope is that with the measurement of productivity using the OMAX method, it can be used to analyze the use of resources whether it is in accordance with the plan and to identify ratios that are still low. The criteria used in this study include the use of working hours, labor, raw materials, use of electrical energy, the number of products produced, the number of products repaired, the number of good products, and the number of employee absences. Furthermore, the measured criteria are converted into ratios. From the results of data processing, it can be seen that the highest productivity index value was in January at 1.90, while the lowest value was in April at -0.88. In April, there were ratios that were still low, namely the ratio of the utilization of hours of work and the ratio of the use of labor. To find out the cause of the problem of low ratios, a fihbone diagram is used. Based on the results of the analysis of the causes of the problems that occurred, it was found that the company should provide direction regarding the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so that work can be carried out according to the rules of Occupational Safety and Health (K3).
