Abstract

The tourism sector is one way to increase labor absorption. This sector plays an important role in the Indonesian economy both as a contributor to foreign exchange and as a source of employment and business opportunities. This study aims to analyze how the number of hotels, the number of restaurants, wages and the number of travel agents on the absorption of labor in Bali Province in 2011-2017. The data used in this research is panel data, namely the number of labor absorption in regencies / cities in Bali Province in 2011-2017. This study uses a panel data regression analysis tool as a method of calculating labor absorption in the regencies / cities of Bali Province 2011-2017. Based on the regression results, it is shown that the significant variables are the variables of the number of hotels and the minimum wage, while the variables of the number of restaurants and the number of travel agents do not significantly affect the absorption of labor in the Regency / City of Bali Province.
