Abstract

This thesis aims to describe and analyze 1) mandatory library visit program in SDIT Assalaam Sanden Library. 2) students reading interest in SDIT Assalaam Sanden Library. 3) the influence of mandatory library visit program on the students reading interest at SDIT Assalaam Sanden Library. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were IV, V and VI students of SDIT Assalaam Sanden with 233 students. The sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling technique, with a sample of 70 respondents. The main data collection technique is questionnairre using likert scale with four alternative answers. While the data collection tchniques complement using observation, interview and documentation. Testing validity using product moment correlation. As for reliability testing using alpha cronbach. Data analysis uses mean and grand mean, product moment correlation and simple linier regression. Data processed by using the program IBM SPSS 26 Version. From the result of the study using the mean and grand mean calculation result show 3,33, that the mandatory library visit program at SDIT Assalaam Sanden Library is classified as very good. The result of calculation of the mean and grand mean show 3,37 for students reading interest in the SDIT Assalaam Sanden Library, which means its also classified as very good. The correlation level is 0,647 which means its significant. With the correlation coefficient interval between 0,40-0,70, it means that the reliationship is positive and the level of reliationship is strong. The authors suggest to the libarian in order to improve the mandatory library visit program they have so that library collection can be utilized to the maximum.
