Abstract

Behavioral problems in children are still a theme that has been frequantly studied in the last five years of research. Parenting style is a contributor related to the causes and solutions of children’s problems. Behavioral problems in children can caused by other factors, the intesity of mobile usage, in this case the parenting style also has an important role because parenting has a decision on the intensity of the mobile usage in children. Authoritarian parenting in parents can lead to behavior in children, whereas this parenting can be relied on by strict religious belief. The sample in this study is parents in Indonesia who have the characteristics of being caring for children between the ages of 2-7 years. A total of 414 respondents filled out an online survey with an adaptation questionnaire from previous research and it was developed to identify keyakinan agama, gaya pola asuh , digital literacy, and children's behavior. Data analysis using SEM-PLS which includes the outer model, inner model and bootsrapping. The results of this study indicate six research results that religious beliefs in parents can influence authoritarian parenting styles (authoritarian parenting styles), have a negative effect on the intensity of device use, and do not have a direct influence on children's behavior. Good parenting styles have a low influence on the use of devices in children, because parents tend to provide control in the use of devices, parenting styles also have a direct influence on children's behavior. The intensity of the use of the device has no effect on negative behavior in children This study provides a sharpening of previous research related to keyakinan agama and its influence on authoritarian gaya pola asuh . Then this research contributes to science related to digital literacy and behavior in children. This study still uses digital literacy variables that focus on the use of devices, so it needs to be expanded again.
