Abstract

This research aims to know how to use digital library as a student learning resource and the factors which wncourage and obstruct the use of digital library in the library of SMK N 2 Yogyakarta using usability testing. This research is descriptive quantitative with research subjects some 10th grade students of SMK N 2 Yogyakarta as user of the library and the research object is the use of digital library and as a student learning source in SMK N 2 Yogyaarta. The data collection techniques of this research are observation, quisioner, interview, and documentary. The population of this researchare all loth grade students. From thid population are taken sample based on the Slovin Formula and obtained, the formula as many go correspondents. The sampling technique uses puposive sampling. The variable of this research is single, that is the use of digital library of SMK N 2 Yogyakarta as a student learning resource.measurement of the use digital library bassed on the usability testing component according to Nelson (1012) Which consists of flue attributs, namely for learnability of 3,261 categorized very good, efficiency of 312 categorized good, memorability of 3.109 categorized good, errors of 2.770 categorized good, and satisfaction of 3,196 categorized good. Based on the calculation result using the interval scale formula, it can be seen that the use of digital library as a student learning resourche in the lbrary of SMK N 2 Yogyakarta is already classifed as good with grand mean value 3.124. The resultof this research provide recomendation to the library of SMK N 2 Yogyakarta for menu in digital library must be easly recognizable, easy use again, easy to remember and not easy to damage the view, and always providing collections as needen.
