Abstract

The background of this research is that the Arabic learning method used is conventional and monotonous. So that it makes children bored and the lack of mastery of Arabic mufradat at MTs N 5 Sleman. This study aims to determine the implementation of the missing lyrics educational game in the Arabic mufradat learning of students in class VII MTs N 5 Yogyakarta, to determine the effectiveness of the missing lyrics educational game in Arabic mufradat learning compared to conventional mufradat learning. This research is a quantitative research with experimental methods. The research data was taken using experimental methods, observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique uses quantitative analysis using non-parametric statistical methods because the research data is not normally distributed. The results showed that learning the missing lyrics educational game in Arabic mufradat learning was carried out by introducing new mufradat to students by reciting it, and providing understanding and meaning of each unknown mufradat. Next, listening to the song, the students wrote down what they heard on the blank lyrics on the paper containing the song verse. Based on the output "Test of Statistics", it is known asymp.Sig. (2-Tailed) is worth 0.004. Because the value of 0.004 is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. This means that there is a difference between the learning outcomes of the missing lyrics game for the Pre-Test and Post-Test values, so it can also be concluded that "there is an influence on the use of student learning outcomes using the educational game missing lyrics language. The results of mufradat learning in the control class and in the experimental class, the value of mufradat learning in the control class shows sufficient results, while in the experimental class it shows very good results.
