Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of knowledge and investment motivation with perception of sharia compliance as a moderating variable on customer interest in using investment products in Islamic banks. The dependent variable in this study is investment interest. The independent variables in this study are investment knowledge, investment motivation and sharia compliance which is also moderating variables. The population of this study is the Muslim community in general with a sample of Islamic banking customers. The sampling method used was simple random sampling with a sample size of 76 people. The data was collected using a questionnaire instrument. The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression and MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis) / interaction test. The results showed that investment motivation and perception of sharia compliance partially had a significant effect on investor interest, while investment knowledge had no effect. The results also show the moderation influence of perception of sharia compliance on the simultaneous relationship of investment knowledge and investment motivation on interest in using Islamic banking investment products.
