Abstract

To suppress the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) the government imposed restrictions on physical contact. As for the world of banking, this restriction is by diverting offline transactions to online transactions. One of them is by using Islamic mobile banking. The development of mobile banking users is increasingly being intensified because it can be done anywhere, anytime and can make time efficient. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the factors contained in the Theory Of Planned Behavior which include Attitudes, Subjective Norms and Behavioral Controls can have an influence on customer intentions in using mobile banking by adding Locus Of Control as a moderating variable. The population in this study were all users or prospective users of Islamic mobile banking in Indonesia. Sampling was done using incidental sampling technique, with the number of samples used in this study were 150 respondents. The analytical technique used is the SEM SmartPLS version 3.0 model as an analytical tool. The results of this study explain that Subjective Attitudes and Norms have an influence in determining the intention to use Islamic mobile banking. Meanwhile, Behavioral Control has no effect on the intention to use mobile banking. In addition, this study also explains that locus of control cannot moderate the relationship between attitudes, subjective norms or behavioral control. To suppress the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) the government imposed restrictions on physical contact.
