Abstract

Distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on religious character building activities in schools. One of the schools that always carries out character building activities during the Covid-19 pandemic is SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok. This school builds religious character through ISMUBA based on blended learning. This study aims to find out how the implementation and strategies used by schools in creating religious character during the Covid-19 pandemic through ISMUBA learning based on blended learning, and the resulting impact. This research is a qualitative field research. The subjects of this study were the Principal, Deputy Head of ISMUBA, ISMUBA subject teachers, and five students. Data collection using interview techniques, documentation and observation. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that first, blended learning-based ISMUBA at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok is implemented well according to the elements and scope of the blended learning model. The implementation of ISMUBA learning based on blended learning is carried out through virtual face-to-face learning, independent learning, using applications, learning tutorials, collaborative activities, and evaluations. Second, the strategy in ISMUBA learning based on blended learning in shaping religious character is carried out by delivering material on Akidah Akhlak and Date Education, integrated with ISMUBA subjects, face-to- face non-learning activities, mentoring of learning and Islamic activities, and exemplary by school residents. Non-learning activities are carried out in the form of dhuha and dhuhur prayers, online tadarus, reading and memorizing the Qur'an (BTHQ), procurement of infaq cans, Islamic studies, BERDIKARI and Mugadeta Santri Week (PSM). Third, the results of blended learning-based ISMUBA learning in shaping religious character are that students have a responsibility to Allah SWT, have a passion for studying Islamic religious knowledge, have a habit of being close to the Qur'an, and participate in religious activities both at school and at home.
