Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has a significant impact. The rapid spread of the pandemic causes the government to impose Work From Home (WFH), which aims to avoid the spread of Covid-19. WFH requires good organizational communication so that the organizational goals can be achieved. These communication activities require media as a means to communicate. This study aims to find out the Effectiveness of Using WhatsApp Social Media as Organizational Communication Media During the Covid-19 Pandemic on Employees of the National Narcotics Agency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study used a quantitative method. The data collection used questionnaires to 100 respondents in the National Narcotics Agency of Sleman Regency, Bantul Regency, and Yogyakarta City. Based on the effectiveness test, it was obtained that the use of WhatsApp as communication media had a value of 78% and was in the Effective category. The significance value was 0.000 < 0.050. Thus, it can be concluded that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.
