Abstract

The leadership qualities of the madrassa head will affect the effectiveness of the development of the madrassa. Through proper management, madrassas will be able to create a conducive, creative, innovative madrassa environment and be able to develop potential. A manager must be able to improve and maintain the existence of madrasahs that have been achieved so that the management process that includes planning, organizing, driving, and evaluation can run effectively and efficiently. The purpose of this study, as follows: 1) To describe the implementation of managerial skills carried out by the head of madraasah at MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat; (2) To know and understand the contribution of madrasah head skills to changes in MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat; (3) To know the key to the success of the managerial skills of madrasah heads in developing change management in MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat. This research uses a type of qualitative research using a field research approach. Data collection is done with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. While data analysis uses data reduction techniques, data display, and data validity checking through triangulation and then conclusion withdrawal. From the results of the research it can be concluded that managerial skills carried out by the head of MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat, including: a) concept skills by compiling madrasah annual programs, b) skills related to others, namely by communicating each program and policy to all elements of the madrassa, and c) technical skills by providing guidance and guidance in the management of education. Furthermore, the contribution of the managerial skills of madrasah heads to changes in MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat is the head of madrasahs contributing as vasilitators in planning and implementing madrasah programs. Furthermore, the head of the madrassa contributes as a problem solver in determining creative ideas for the advancement of madrasahs. Then the head of the madrassa also contributed as a mediator in solving the problem on the issuance of land status certificates of man 1 tulang Bawang Barat. The key to the success of the madrassa head in developing change management at MAN 1 Tulang Bawang Barat is: the head of madrasah applies a visionary attitude to realize the vision and mission that will be achieved by always innovating and doing creativity to make the madrassa advanced and better.
