Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe user perceptions of the interior design of Prapanca Libraries at SMA N 2 Bantul. This research uses quantitative descriptive research. The subject of this study were usera of the Prapanca Library of SMA N 2 Bantul. The object of research is the interior of the Prapanca Library at SMA N 2 Bantul. The population in this study were users who were students of class XI and XII in the Prapanca Library of SMA N 2 Bantul, amounting to 522 users with a sample of 85 respondents with the slovin formula. Data collection techniques using observation, techniques, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the formulas mean and grand mean. The results of the study indicate that the user’s perception of the interior design of the Prapanca Library is classified as good with a score of 3,23. The result of the subvariabel space with an average result of 3,12 belong to the good category. The lighting sub-variabel with an average result of 3,36 belongs to the very good category. The coloring sub-variabel with an average result of 3,34 belongs to the very good category. The acoustic system sub-variabel with an average result of 3,12 is in the good category. The air circulation sub-variabel with an average result of 3,21 belongs to the good category. The library is expected to be able to improve the interior design aspects of the library to support the convenience of users in their activities
