Abstract

‘Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP)’ Scholarship is a government program in collaboration with three ministries, namely the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Ministry of Religion in the form of providing educational cash assistance to school-age children (aged 6-21 years) to support the success of the 12-year compulsory education program. , prevent students from the possibility of dropping out of school, attracting dropouts to return to continue their education. There are four criteria used to determine scholarship recipients, namely a certificate, student status, family conditions, and other supporting conditions. To make it easier for officers to determine the recipients of ‘Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP)’ Scholarship, a system is needed that can assist the process of selecting scholarship recipients based on predetermined criteria. Therefore, a system for selecting the recipients of ‘Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP)’ Scholarship was built by applying the Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) algorithm and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to solve problems and assist officers in selecting candidates for ‘Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP)’ . The results of this study are in the form of a ranking order based on the final result of the preference value of each student. The student with the highest rank is the student with code G1 which has a total preference score of 0.70. The ranking order generated by this system will be used as a reference in selecting the recipients for ‘Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP)’ at the Department of Education, Youth and Sports, Bantul District.
