Abstract

This research is motivated by the rise of young mothers who do sharenting. Sharenting is a phenomenon of parents' habit of sharing information about their children on social media. Mothers are more likely to share stories and representations of parents and their children online than fathers. This study aims to determine the picture of sharing in young mothers and what factors influence it. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that the picture of sharing in young mothers includes young mothers using social media accounts to share, which makes it easier for others to access information about their children; young mother doing sharing without considering sharing it anonymously ; young mothers are not careful before sharing the real location or full names of their children; young mothers do not veto their children over online disclosures; young mothers don't pay attention to sharing photos showing children naked; and young mothers did not consider that the sharing effect could affect the current and future status of their children. Then the factors that influence young mothers to share include the desire to connect with family and friends; Desire To Get More Likes and Emotional Reactions. The emotional reactions consist of happiness (happiness); craving / craving (eagerness); affection (affection); and pride (pride).
