Abstract

Indonesia's economic growth over the last five years is shown by BPS data for the country of Indonesia, which experienced a contraction (2.97%) in 2020. The occurrence of this contraction is a serious problem that can lead to open unemployment in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe the average length of schooling, life expectancy, public investment and population on economic growth in Southeast Sulawesi in 2015-2020. The method used in this study is a quantitative panel data regression model by taking annual data in each district/city. The results of this study indicate that all of them have a simultaneous effect on economic growth. Partially, the average length of schooling and population have a significant and positive effect on economic growth, while life expectancy and public investment have no effect on economic growth. The results of this study have implications for policy changes and regional economic development.
