Abstract

Evaluation of Arabic Language Learning Program (Study in the Arabic Language Tour Program, Kembara Bahasa, for Inter-Nation Selangor College Students at the Darussalam University, Gontor Ponorogo Indonesia)2018-2019. Master Thesis, Postgraduate UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, 2021. One of the universities that entrust its students to intensively study Arabic is the Kolej Universiti Islam Antarbangsa Selangor (KUIS) Malaysia, which regularly sends its students to study the language at UNIDA. With this collaboration, KUIS sends their best representations to study Arabic at UNIDA. This activity is not the first time between these institutes. The purpose of this study is to describe the Arabic learning model, problems, evaluations, and solutions in the Kembara Bahasa Program (Arabic Language Tour Program) for the Selangor University College students at Darussalam University, Gontor Ponorogo Indonesia. Thus, this study uses a qualitative approach using the descriptive analysis method. The results showed that, 1) The problems of learning Arabic in the Kembara Bahasa program consisted of several factors, including participant factors consisting of participants' educational background, motivation, difficulty speaking Arabic and lack of vocabulary, 2) Evaluation and solutions to problems in the Arabic learning process in the Kembara Bahasa program, namely for participants by always practising memorized vocabulary and taking the time to take part in Arabic learning group activities.
